Sirius Cooker Hoods with Air Purifier

Ducting and purification technology all in one.

The continuous research of new technologies by Sirius, has led to the study and realisation of the new patented Smart Air Management System, where the performance of a ducting hood is combined with that of a filtering hood, enriching it with an unprecedented function, that of air purification.

The post-pandemic has reinforced the demand for healthy environments purified from polluting and sometimes harmful agents that can be generated both by cooking food, as well as many other factors that inhabit our home.

Sirius's idea was to integrate the same air purifier technology into the cooker hood, also allowing the user to manage the functionality of the hood, switching from a suction to a filtering version and vice versa.

This innovative system, consisting of a mobile valve, located at the top of the chimney, an air quality sensor, two ionisers and two high-efficiency carbon filters, allows the hood to be used in both a ducting version, with the fumes evacuation pipes outside the home, and a filtering version, by pressing the special button (S. A.M.S. button) on the touch control, transforming the hood into a true air purifier: the valve closes the air outlet to the outside and conveys it into the two side outlets through the high-efficiency carbon filters and the two ionisers, thus purifying it before it is reintroduced inside the home.

The colours of the new touch control constantly monitor the quality of the air inside the home, even when the hood is not in operation: white (pure air), blue (clean air), orange (poor air quality), red (very poor air quality).

The advantage of purchasing a product from the Sirius range equipped with S.A.M.S. technology is above all of an ecological nature: the setting of the hood in the filtering version, in fact, avoids the dispersion of heat, guaranteeing considerable energy saving, especially during the winter period, when excessive air suction power could cause unnecessary heat dispersion.
